Tennis Match

A tennis match is a competitive sporting event in which two players (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles) play against each other on a tennis court. The objective of the match is to score points by hitting a tennis ball over a net and into the opponent’s court in such a way that the opponent is unable to return the ball successfully. The match is typically structured in sets, with players needing to win a certain number of sets to win the match. Scoring in tennis follows a unique system: points range from 0 (love) to 40, and players must win by at least two points to secure games. A match ends when a player or team wins the predetermined number of sets, commonly either the best of three or the best of five sets. Tennis matches can vary in duration based on the skill level of the players and their playing style.
