Handball

Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and one goalkeeper) aim to score goals by throwing a ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular field, typically indoors, with a goal at each end. Players use their hands to pass, dribble, and shoot the ball, and physical contact is allowed to an extent to gain possession. The objective is to score more goals than the opposing team within the designated time, usually played in two halves. Handball combines elements of basketball, soccer, and water polo, emphasizing speed, agility, and teamwork. It is played both at recreational and competitive levels, with different variations such as beach handball and mini handball for younger players. Internationally, the sport is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF), which organizes major competitions, including the World Championships and the Olympic Games.
