Greenland

Greenland is the world’s largest island, located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans, northeast of Canada and northwest of Iceland. It is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark and is known for its vast ice sheet, rugged terrain, and sparse population. The island’s landscape is predominantly covered by ice and glaciers, contributing to its unique ecosystem. Greenland’s indigenous people, predominantly the Inuit, have a rich cultural heritage that shapes the island’s history and identity. Despite its size, Greenland has a small population concentrated mainly along the coastline, with most of the interior being uninhabited due to its harsh climate. The capital city is Nuuk, which serves as the cultural and economic center of the island.
